漢字 The purpose of Kanji.SylverFox.net is to learn together! I am by no means an expert in the Japanese language, in fact, I am still learning myself. In order to make it a little bit easier AND more fun, I’ve decided to create this blog and add a new Kanji every day, to share it with all of you! Let’s learn together!

What is Kanji?

Kanji are Chinese characters that are used in the Japanese writing system. Kanji literally means ”Han characters”.
Kanji alone is not enough to be able to read and write Japanese, hiragana (ひらがな, 平仮名) and katakana　(カタカナ, 片仮名) are also necessary for this.
